Welcome to EDMsauce.com's debut premiere of our weekly series “Artist of the Week”. This week we are featuring a Miami native trio collectively known as Booyah Riot. They're a four to floor, live performing, super-high energy house music group that finds catharsis in Electronic Dance Music's unparalleled power to breathe life into all types of musical genres.
The group is featured across all social music platforms including Soundcloud, Spotify, and YouTube. Head over and give them a follow on Spotify now!
The trio is made up of, Jovany “Gio” Black, Mitchell “Kong” Domenech, and Lewis “Wilemind” Faredakis, who are bonded by their self-proclaimed unabashedly shallowness, and their winning attitudes.
Diving deeper into Booyah Riot, their productions find their foundations in organic diablo-style piano chord progressions, clever vocal manipulations, and heavy side chaining which creates a very clear electronic Miami vibe. One of their successful productions, amassing over 70,000 plays on Soundcloud was their up-temp remix of Macy Gray's early 2000's hit, “I Try” which can be found below. The track features their signature organic chord progressions and lightheartedness that can be found in just about all of their tracks.
You can find the rest of their productions here:
Their most recent production, released on March 28th, is a clever ode to a familiar situation to any Miami music goer. The song best describes a woman that the guy cannot get off his mind and is always left wanting more.
The song features their signature touch, toning down the energy from the rest of their productions, but increasing the amount of good vibes building off of their organic chord progressions and sound designs. This song is a perfect release for Spring weather and can carry over nicely into the Summer with the drop-top down and stereo blasting on those long, Summer night drives.
We're happy to sponsor Booyah Riot as our first EDMsauce Artist of the Week and hope you enjoy their music as much as we did! Check back often to see who will be the next “Artist of the Week” and discover new and fresh music.
Thanks for your support!
