Ever since their single “#Selfie,” The Chainsmokers have been on a streak no one can deny. Now, The Chainsmokers have become one of the most successful charting artists in history.
This week, The Chainsmokers has two songs inside the Top 10 on the Hot 100 chart. Their collaboration with Coldplay “Something Just Like This” sits at the number 5 position, while “Paris” is holding down at the number 9 spot.
With the success of “Something Just Like This” and “Paris,” the DJ duo have reigned in the Top 10 on the Hot 100 for a total of 49 weeks. Last week, The Chainsmokers tied Ace Of Base, who held on for 48 weeks in the Top 10 between 1993 and 1994.
Only two artists have outlasted The Chainsmokers for the longest streak; Drake who was in the Top 10 for 51 weeks in a row, and Katy Perry, who managed to be in the Top 10 for 69 consecutive weeks.
