Slushii has no doubt had a lot of help from the man in white taking his career from local hero to international icon. Marshmello picked up the beverage themed producer in early 2016, then his manager Moe Shalizi decided to invest in him and the rest is history.
Slushii has always gotten a little bit of flack for his similarities in both production style and branding to his mentor. That being said recently Slushii has demonstrated he is entirely his own person with his skill behind the decks, dropping an Ultra set that was beyond impressive.
This weekend at Something Wonderful in Dallas, TX Slushii debuted something that was almost too Marshmello-esque. His own ridiculous helmet. Of course Slushii also promised it was only temporary, which we are glad to hear. We do not need anymore full time masked DJs. The market is pretty cornered on that.
