Ever since the last year's monumental release of Worlds, fans have been intensely craving new music from the talented Porter Robinson, riding off the success of his Shelter tour with Madeon that officially closed out a couple weekends ago at this year's Coachella.
According to certain sources, Porter's Google Drive was apparently leaked and rumored to be circling on the internet. Today, internet sources were wholeheartedly convinced that new Porter had actually surfaced, as a new track appeared to be a Porter original but was quickly shot down in a confirmed tweet,
Porter quickly deleted the tweet above and replaced the reply with the following below,
As Porter is historically known for taking great pride in his art, the frustration that unfolded was quickly hindered by an emotional response; as like any artist, he only wants his own production associated with his name.
As fans across the world wait in agony for new music, there is still little speculation on when a new single or release will be debuted to the world, but knowing Porter – good things come to those who wait.
