We found this wonderful piece of news from The A.V. Club and it is so awesome we had to bring it to you. Daft Punk in a way always brings up science fiction imagery. I mean the artists behind the helmets spent their careers from 2001 on as robots. With such dedication that they did not even speak when they won the Grammy for Album of the Year. Their futuristic sound was featured in the movie Tron: Legacy and while the film was not exactly that most captivating endeavor the duo's unique score helped it reach cult classic status.

At least, that was the idea Patrick Collins had when he recut Star Trek: The Motion Picture and added Daft Punk‘s score of Legacy over top. The result is a short film entitled Star Trek: Legacy and it is actually pretty awesome. Check it out below for quite the aural and visual story.
