In news that we all probably could have guessed, Deadmau5 will not be playing EDC Las Vegas 2018. Obviously the helmeted superstar and Insomniac have had some troubles in the past, but things seemed to be smoothed over when Deadmau5 played an official Insomniac warehouse event a few months ago. Still the Mau5 made it clear that the only reason he played the aforementioned event was for the fans.
Now nobody really ever expected Deadmau5 to play North America's largest electronic music festival in 2017. That much was clear with the drop of a full line up. Deadmau5 took it a step farther and in a conversation with legendary crooner Barry Manilow on Twitter, he announced that he will not be at the festival in 2018. As he is “not big on the EDC thing”. We cannot say that we didn't expect this, but it is now confirmed.
Also side note – who would have guessed Deadmau5 loved Barry Manilow and vice versa??
@deadmau5 See you at EDCLV in 18? My life goal.
