House of Yes, Brooklyn’s favorite theater and performance art space are proud to present the launch of their Summer of Love outdoor event series kicking things off this Memorial Day on Monday, May 29 from 12pm-9pm with a FREE ENTRY outdoor day party and pig roast. Last year they sold out their 2016 Memorial Day BBQ, this year they’re raising the bar by taking their infamous party vibes outside to the historical and beautiful Vander-Ende-Onderdonk House in Ridgewood. Featuring beats by house and disco DJ favorite, Eli Escobar, circus performances, artist vendor markets, and an open air bar sponsored by Heineken and Guayaki Yerba Mate. Also an interactive live art vendors, this is a rain or shine event is a great way to finish off the Memorial Day weekend with a huge bang.

Memorial Day guests are asked to come dressed in their most creative and rave outrageous colors, or in white to mark the unofficial kick-off summer bash. Music will be provided by New York’s favorite disco DJ and House of Yes star resident, Eli Escobar and taste a variety of delicious delights including a good old BBQ pig roast or other vegetarian treats. Attendees can watch local artists create masterpieces in only a couple of hours or have a crack at arts and crafts at the interactive art section. You can spend the afternoon browsing through Mamas Bazaar artisan market followed by a drink or two at the pop-up bar whilst being blown away by a variety of circus acts including aerial performance, go-go dancing, contortionists, and sideshow performers.

There will be five events spread out over the summer months at the Onderdonk House, the Summer of Love is a new outdoor event series by House of Yes that transforms this local private park into a magical wonderland. All Summer of Love events will feature beautifully illuminated music from their resident DJs, art exhibits by local Brooklyn artists, specially crafted food and drink menus, Mamas Bazaar artisan market, and the vibrant House of Yes signature spectacles. After their Memorial Day celebration, Summer of Love will welcome a selection of the best Burner west coast day party collectives: Pink Mammoth (June 10 & 11), DISTRIKT (July 29 & 30), and a pre-Burn day party (August 20). On July 4, House of Yes will return to Onderdonk to host their famous Independence Day party. Stay tuned for further details.
