Joakim Molitor Ft. Maia Wright ‘Always Gonna Say Sorry’ [EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE]

With a string of acclaimed singles and remixes already under his belt, Joakim Molitor productions ooze quality and musical maturity beyond his years. Delivering remixes for the likes of Dragonette, Eric Saade and John De Sohn, Molitor has already made a solid mark on the dance music world. Following in the footsteps of fellow Swedes such as Swedish House MafiaEric PrydzAvicii, Joakim has become renowned for his larger than life sound and catchy melodic hooks, and ‘Always Gonna Say Sorry’ comes as a firm reminder that Joakim is a force to be reckoned with!

‘Always Gonna Say Sorry' features some super smooth vocals by Maia Wright, a really fun build up, and a solid drop. This song screams radio hit, so i'd expect to hear a lot more of ‘Always Gonna Say Sorry' this summer. Check it out below a day early as Joakim gave us the EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE of this track as well as answered a few questions in an interview. Enjoy!

Interview

What got you into making music specifically EDM?

I was producing hip hop and pop beats at that time when a close friend of mine, Jonas, showed me the whole trance and techno scene. I loved it and wanted to bring the pop vocals into it.

What do you think of the current music scene and do you have any artists or tracks that you are really digging right now?

I think it's fun to see that the genre keeps envolving and moving but at the same time I'm a bit tired of the tropical sound. I'm really into a Swedish rap group right now called “Hov1”. They're cool!

The vocals for this song are amazing, what went into finding the vocals for this track?

We wrote the vocals together and I recorded them in two different studios.

This sounds like a song made for the radio, when making this do you have a plan for where/hope it gets played?

It is always different, but in this case we are aiming more for radio then the clubs and festivals.

What does the summer have in store for you?

I’m leaving for Nashville, Tennessee in June to write with some people there, a writing camp in Stockholm and also a few club gigs. Then I will spending some time with my family and friends of course 🙂
