Following on from the huge success that was his Kid Chrome EP, bass maker and DJ Oski, who hails from Sydney, is back for more this week. Having carefully teased fans with snatches from his Kid Calamity collection, the full record is now out through Quality Goods Records.
Spread out hazily across four tracks, Oski displays his innovative style once again, showing us exactly why he grabbed the attention of UZ in the first place. Opening with “Go My Way” ft. The Arcturians, this odd-beat cut is cut has meandering groove and addictive vocals. He joins Hydraulix for the powerful “Lose It” ft. Macntaj, and subsequently Vitillaz for “Shadows,” a murky and deeply growling number. The EP closes with “Bad” ft. Anuka, an anthemic, vocal-led smasher to finish things off on a high.
