Zeds Dead‘s music production has always been on point and they haven't let us forget it. This Is Me featuring Lips by Zeds Dead was a phenomenal original which was a part of their Northern Lights album that came out a couple months ago . While acquiring smaller names on the remixes, Ganja White Night were graced with this opportunity to flip this tune into a spiral of colorful bass. Hearing that Ganja White Night was remixing this song and judging by Zeds Dead music history, the genre could have gone in any direction.
The buildup is fairly similar to the original song being that it was fairly ambient and slow, but the first drop puts a spin on the tune as it will suck you into a tornado of feel good dubstep that is the perfect blend of bass and beauty. However the second drop does get a lot heavier as Ganja White Night and Zeds Dead morph their heavy sounds together to add another amazing layer to this song to give it that “wubby” sound we crave. Zeds Dead is more familiar with softer dubstep like in their Eyes On Fire remix. Ganja White Night are fairly new to the lighter side of dubstep but have ventured off into that path and we couldn't be more thrilled that they did.
This remix is definitely something different coming from Ganja White Night in the best way possible. Ganja White Night are fairly new to the music scene but having experience from Zeds Dead at their side, we expected to hear such a beautiful song that not only was heavy but melodic as well.
