It pains me to have to write this before reviewing the legendary weekend I just experienced at the first weekend of Electric Forest. That being said we need to clear this up. A picture found on Electric Forest Facebook groups and Reddit of a severed finger has been making the rounds the past few days.
A Very Real Fake Finger
While we obviously saw that this was a hoax in some capacity it has been reported that during clean up of the camping grounds someone found a severed finger. Luckily today Electric Forest has made an official statement that Michigan State police have said that it was just a very real looking fake finger. So let us focus on the glory that was Electric Forest weekend one and not finger bang ourselves here. If you wanted to see it – the photo is below the tweet.

Michigan State Police have confirmed that the “finger” pictured in an image being circulated is just a “very real looking fake finger.”
