Last year when Calvin Harris split from Taylor Swift he sort of lost his mind and went all out on the pop country star via Twitter. What came next was actually a pretty decent little diss track featuring John Newman and eventually some rebounds with the most attractive women in the world. Yeah life is never so bad when you are making millions each week.
Still in an interview with GQ Calvin took some culpability towards his outburst on his high profile ex. He stated in the interview:
“It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”
He went on to expand:
“It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly. The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense. I’m not good at being a celebrity. But when it ended, all hell broke loose. Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters. I’m a positive guy.”
So hey maybe there is hope for Calvin after all. We are happy to see him taking the high road after the initial drama. It seems like both parties have successfully moved on from each other after the drama of Swift penning his smash hit ‘This Is What You Came For'.
