Miley Cyrus is making a bit of a comeback recently since what ever was living inside of her decided to move onto Katy Perry. She has stopped acting out for attention and started to once again focus on making incredibly lyrically sound music. Her latest hit ‘Malibu' has picked up some official remixes from the biggest names in the business. The results were mixed but overall the entire package is a strong effort.
Tiesto‘s remix is nothing extremely noteworthy. Not much has been done to tweak the original and in turn we get a melodic house beat over top the lyrics of the original. Nothing to call home about or really complain about there. The Alan Walker remix is a disappointment for us. He had a lot of potential to make this remix really shine with his signature style but instead his take on the track came off entirely uninspired.
Gigamesh who is a monster in French nu-disco and house stands out as the best of the official remixes. His synth filled rework is catchy, bouncy and down right enticing. Dillon Francis also stands out on the remix package for his original take on ‘Malibu'. Like Gigamesh he expertly puts his style on the track while maintaining the integrity of the original production. Check out all 4 of the remixes below.
