For the last two years, Fiction's annual Drifter boat party has been a highlight of the often busy summer season. This Saturday, veteran selector, producer, and label head ‘The Drifter' will be setting sail again as part of Fiction‘s second cruise around Manhattan. Hailing from Ireland originally, The Drifter aka Mark Flynn has spent years championing the melodic, emotional sound that is a mainstay through all of Fiction's parties. With releases on Watergate, Lossless, SoHaSo, and his own label Maeve, one can't deny the passion and dedication to the craft that he brings to the table. With all of this in mind, I've included a link to one of his latest mixes so you can listen for yourself.
If you haven't had the fortune of attending a Fiction cruise, or party, I'd highly recommend this upcoming one. Not only will the music be amazing, but the crowd and setting will be just as incredible. You can find the details for the event below in the links, as well as tickets. The boat is set to board at 5pm and sail off into the sunset at 6, so I highly suggest you arrive early as you will not want to miss this one.
