Hailing from South Africa, up and coming multi-genre artist Jon Casey just released two new original tunes on LA 90, a growing London-Based music platform for innovative electronic music founded by legendary dubstep artist Bare Noize. LA 90 has been around just over a year and has a mission to give up and coming artists the exposure they deserve. The collective is striving to present artists that take the game to the next level in order to help shape the genres of the future, and they are achieving this mission day in and day out with artists like Jon Casey.
Casey's new tracks, Geneva and Trigger Happy, both accurately represent the innovative and experimental sounds that he has to offer in his original productions. I have had the pleasure of covering Jon Casey once in the past, and was completely blown away by the diversity of the music. His sound design skills are an absolute spectacle, setting an example for the rest of the scene on how innovation in sound design and style can truly push the electronic scene as a whole in a forward direction if we had more artists like Casey pushing for new, unique sounds rather than the same old washed-up styles that are saturating the market to a pulp. Geneva and Trigger Happy are the epitome of Hybrid Trap, combining one of a kind style and sound design to create two extremely heavy bangers.
Casey has an upcoming performance at Kitcheners in Braamfontein (Johannesburg, South Africa) on the 4th of August, and I can only imagine what an incredible show he is going to put on.
