Since 2009 Audien has been blessing the universe with his unique sound that has taken over soundwaves everywhere. In around 2012 Audien began incorporating the Progressive sound we know him for today. The 25-year-old Connecticut Native has had the industry by the family jewels ever since. With chart toppers, Circles, Serotonin, One More Weekend, Hot Water, Leaving You, Something Better, Daybreak, Elysium and Crazy Love (there are so many more but I was starting to think you get the point) Nate Rathbun has grown into one of the most renowned DJ-Producers in the Universe.
The boy’s and I packed up the car and headed to New York a month or two ago to see Audien at Marquee in New York. For those that have not been, Marquee is small. There is one men’s room, one ladies room with one or two stalls in each. It’s an intimate venue. You are there for the music, you have no choice in the matter. It’s that crowded, that sweaty and that freaking awesome. Not to mention they have one of the best sound systems we have ever witnessed first-hand. Audien took the stage and for lack of a better term, 2-hours of straight “Euphoria”.
On the brink of the saddest time of year, the end of Summer, Audien has kept the heat alive with his announcing of a US tour. How strange, it’s titled “Euphoria”…. The closing to the last paragraph no comes off super clever, right? After the insanity of his EDC LV set B2B with 3lau, the drop of “Hot Water” and summer full of insane festival sets, the man the myth the “Nate” will be traveling the Home of the Brave this fall. Big Man will be blessing a city near you with the euphoric, shwingy, shmeeeexy sets we have grown so accustomed to from him and it’s not something to miss. Whether you’ve seen him live before or not, this is a tour we all need to see for our souls, for our hearts and for our sanity (or insanity).
Not the only does this tour fire me up because Audien absolutely slays, but, the venues are set for intimate, heartfelt sets. From the United States #1 Nightclub, Echostage in DC, to Gold Room in Atlanta all the way back to the Northeast to Shrine in Nate’s backyard of Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut and to Output in Brooklyn NY, Yes on Yes on Yes on Yeeeees. Oh, and, New Music….

Call me biased because I’m from Connecticut, call me a nut bag because you don’t agree with my taste in music, but do not miss a show that you can make on this tour. The guy is a legend that in the mind of many (including myself) doesn’t get half the credit he deserves for his DJing ability and controlling a crown.
