The VMA For Best Dance Video Goes To The Duo Who Deserved It The Most

The Video Music Awards took place this evening and dance music did not have a strong showing. This is not surprising as many dance artists forgo massive productions for music videos, as they do not carry as much weight in the EDM culture. Still we finally got to see who took home the moon man for best Dance video and we have to say we entirely agree.

The VMA for best dance video went to none other than Zedd and Alessia Cara for their smash hit ‘Stay”. The song was up against some tough competition. The dynamic duo went up against:

Kygo x Selena Gomez – “It Ain’t Me”

Calvin Harris – “My Way”

Major Lazer ft. Justin Bieber and MØ – “Cold Water”

Afrojack ft. Ty Dolla $ign – “Gone”

Many thought Kygo was a shoe in due to his collaboration with Selena Gomez which skyrocketed to platinum over the last few months. But no! Zedd and Alessia fought the good fight and brought home the honor. Check out their video for ‘Stay' one more time below.
