It seems that everything Skrillex touches turns to fire. And that’s not to take away from the brilliance of Videographer Jas Davis here. Jas dropped a pretty rad video on YouTube of a bunch of different visuals that were twisted to the sound of the EDM Don. Sonny has taken what seems to be a bit of a hiatus from touring in order to focus on further mastering production and working with a wide variety of Artists. We got a taste of what we love in his collaboration with Poo Bear “Would You Ever”. But, it left us begging for more. I can only imagine what is going on in the studios he visits as his craft is miles ahead of the game.
We doubt this montage will turn to anything more than a soundtrack to this sick video. That said, it is still special and offers insight to the Skrillex we know and love. It provides a taste of what is going on behind the scenes and will certainly leave the internet swirling with theories over the coming weeks and maybe months. The video sounds like the bass heavy skrillex of old met up with Skrillex of today, they had a nice evening of cocktails and appetizers and made an exceptional baby in “Friendly Fire”.
The videography is insane taking us from skate parks to palm trees to pools to the ocean to sky views of cities. It's like that one friend that everyone makes fun of for carrying around a Camera or go pro everywhere. Then they drop a sick Instagram video and its like Damn, that dudes the damn man! Jas killed it here and the production from Sonny is just the icing on the cake to a perfect Carvel Birthday Cake…
