Rejoice Rezzbians and Cult Members alike, our space mom Rezz dropped some huge news for us via Facebook live stream on Tuesday. Isabelle Rezazadeh recently partnered with illustrator and animator Luis Colindres to create a 60 page comic book to bring her most recent album ‘Mass Manipulation‘ to life. Additionally, the rising Mau5trap artist dropped a complimentary music video for her track ‘Premonition' that features some art from her comic book.
Rezz says her and Colindres created this comic book to help tell the story of her Mass Manipulation album. Rezz's purpose in the comic is “to mass manipulate and hypnotize planet earth” which her music already has achieved. The music video gives us a small taste just exactly how the comic book will achieve a visual ‘mass manipulation'.
The music video is a mesmerizing and trippy supplement to her track with knodis. Similar to the comic, the video follows two earthlings who stumble upon Rezz, an alien girl who just crash landed on Earth, and the three and her pet “snek” embark on a hypnotic journey filled with mind-boggling visuals.
Rezz has always been an innovator in the electronic scene. From the release of her first EP ‘The Silence is Deafening‘, Rezz has established her sound as distinctive and weird in the best way possible, and has stayed true to it since. Her vision in the scene since day one has been clear, to breath life into electronic music through her dark, hypnotic soundscapes.
Illustrator, Luis Colindres, has served as the visual muse for Rezz since day one. The Chicago based artist started working with Rezz on her ‘Something Wrong Here' EP album and tour art.
