Porter Robinson has cemented himself as a legend of dance music in almost no time at all. Breaking onto the scene fairly quickly with his debut album ‘Spitfire' Porter continued to demonstrate his range as his style largely changed. His classic track ‘Language' will always go down in history as one of the best dance music releases of all time.
Today ‘Language' got an official tribute from two of bass music's most inspiring up and coming stars. Ekali and Quix teamed up to recreate the magic that Porter captured in the original. The duo managed to not only pay a beautiful tribute to a sacred song, but also remix it in a way that is not only new and exciting but entirely respectful. Many times when artists decide to rework a classic, they fall short as they are too nervous to really inject a new sound. We saw this happen a lot on Deadmau5's ‘Strobe‘ remix EP 2 years ago.
Ekali and Quix nailed this one. They have given ‘Language' a modern day update which is fresh, exciting and down right awe inspiring. Check it out below.
