Bassheads: rejoice. Our lord and savior Lorin Ashton, a.k.a. Bassnectar, recently teased some unreleased new music at Suwanee Hulaween. As the headliner for night one of the two day Halloween festival in Live Oak, FL, Nectar dropped 2 new track ID's.
The first track (above) is a collaboration with long time Nectar collaborator Digital Ethos. The track is dubbed ‘Slather' and has already been overwhelmingly praised by the BNF community.
The second track (above) is a bit more mysterious but is supposedly another collab with G Jones. Both tracks fall in the realm of Nectars self-made genre; amorphous music. Both dreamy, spooky and electrifying in their own right. Words don't really do either of the tracks justice though, so give them a listen.
For those who follow the bass god closely, Lorin has been fairly silent on social media as of recent, and we can only assume impending new releases are why. Nectar has been working on part 2 to his most recent EP Reflective. Part 2 is rumored to have features from artists by the likes of GnarGnar, Digital Ethos and G Jones.
There is no official release date for Reflective part 2 yet, though there is buzz of a winter release. Until then, enjoy these unreleased tracks which have been made available by some of the DJ's most dedicated fans.
