Sony Music has met nearly $1 Billion in Quarterly Revenue – yes you read that correctly $1 Billion with a “B”! During the first quarter of 2017, Sony Corp. had an increase in physical sales along with an increase in sales and operating revenue. Now, during the second quarter, the Japanese company has reported a significant increase in revenue for their recorded music and streaming services. Sony Corp. sales grew 37.5% from last year to $1.82 B. (¥206.6 B)
During Sony's second quarter of 2017, Sony Corp also reported an earning of 90 cents per share which is a dramatic increase from last year's second fiscal quarter when Sony's earning was a mere 4 cent per share. Their growth also beat Wall Street's predictions of 54 cents.
