Marc Kitchen, aka MK, is an American house DJ. Making waves in the scene since as early as the 90's, the Detroit native is still one of the biggest names in House / Techno. Most recently, MK released his single ‘17‘ this year in early September.
Martin Bresso, aka Tchami, is house music producer from Paris, France. Thcami has become a Household (pun intended) name since 2013 with his first ever release oh his incredibly popular track ‘Promesses‘. Now mainly releasing on his own Confessions label, Tchami surprised us all by remixing one of the great's most recent singles.
'17' in and of itself is a massive track. Featuring strong mantra evoking vocals as well as a signature house infused piano riff, MK's original track was already an instant dance floor anthem. In this remix, Tchami lends his syncopated style to the looped beat as well as a series of harmonious synths and mysteriously echoing vocals.
Sometimes remixes are way better than the original, and sometimes its vise versa. With '17', we think both the remix and the original are fantastic in their own right.
