Before leaving the Netherlands for a festival, Thalissa Van de Lagemaat let her friends and family know she would return on October 31st. The Dutch woman was on her way to Granada, Spain to attend the music festival when she got her phone and identification stolen. Set on not missing the festival, Van De Lagemaat continued her journey to Spain.
After Thalissa’s family didn’t hear from her, they immediately panicked and asked for help on social media in finding her. The story was even picked up by Euro Weekly News. Eventually, a random post by Thalissa on her Facebook page let everyone know that she was ok. Ironically, the posted link was for a party in Granada. Friends and family were understandably upset.
This story is a friendly reminder to let your loved one’s know where you are if you’re going to leave. Unless you’re actually at the festival, then remember to meet back at your crew's totem.
