Steve Aoki has spent all of 2017 slaving away at breaking down boundaries in dance music. His release of Kolony demonstrated that the line separating hip hop and dance music is as thin as ever, and is welcome to be blurred. Now though it seems that the jumping, cake throwing, DJ/producer has another project in the works. This one is going to hit you right in the feels if you were a 90s kids.
Steve Aoki had The Backstreet Boys over to his wonderland of a mansion in the Hollywood Hills this past week and we have to imagine that Music Production was discussed. Aoki has a massive, state of the art production studio contained in his gorgeous house. So now we wait for official news. That being said this is not the first time Steve Aoki and The Backstreet Boys have teamed up. Back in May Aoki brought out the boy band during a show in Las Vegas. It was also rumored that the boys were looking towards Diplo and The Chainsmokers to come on as producers for their new album. Has Steve stepped up to the plate as well? Only time will tell.
