I last heard Sophie Meiers' vocals on the VALENTINE cover of “American Girl” originally by Kanye West. Her latest release, a collaboration with Michael Mason, yielded similar results that which were nothing short of amazing.
Opening with a creepy simplistic, yet perfect fit lo-fi like piano over an ambient production that carries the track as a whole, Michael Mason lets the drumline kick in to be in beautiful harmony with Sophie's vocals. In adding the trap-esque instrumentation, Michael Mason ultimately takes “Evil Presence” to a new level. Sophie's vocals may have stole the show, but do not let my man's superb production go overlooked… this was one hell of a collab to create such a creepy little beauty.
