Having recently collaborated to make his new single “Beautiful Monsters,” Joakim Molitor is a producer who is firmly on the radar as we conclude the year. He brings to the table his five Musical Guilty Pleasures for us…
1) Rupert Holmes – “Escape” (The Pina Colada Song)
I really like the lyrics. They're different and funny. The video is also hilarious!
2) Ardis – “Shotgun”
I remember i heard this song when i was young and fell in love with the dynamic transition from verse to chorus, and I think she also lived in my hometown at that time.
3) Sam Hunt – “Leave The Night On”
This is pretty far from my style but i watched a cover band in Nashville play this song. It’s hard to re-create that epic feeling for friends back in Sweden, lol.
4) Backstreet Boys – “As Long As You Love Me”
i grew up with this song from my sister's room next to mine. Everyday. This song became a part of me, haha.
5) Rick Astley – “Never Gonna Give You Up”
This is just a random pick – love the song, though. So much swag in his moves!
