Inspired by classic electronica and with years of training in jazz music, Cameron Caceres is set to make his name in the dance music community in the form of Uhuru Peak. Recently dropping two new tunes to close out the year, “Baryonic Flow” and “Death By Mullet”, these tracks highlight the progressive and atmospheric style of Uhuru Peak. If the songs free very improvised, it's because they are, and his live act demonstrates that.
Uhuru Peak is quite the one man show, starting off with eerie, ambient loops and adding new layer after layer, eventually becoming a high energy, electronica showcase. Whats particularly jaw dropping are his skills with a bass guitar, which can make even Guy from Disclosure look like a newb as he effortlessly glides up and down the frets. The jazzy influence becomes very clear and it's impressive how well he plays alongside the IDM and garagy instrumentals.
Currently working on a new album, and always expanding on his enticing live show, Uhuru Peak is set to take off in 2018. Check out his earlier EPs as well and get familiar with this fresh, yet classic sound.
