Skrillex was a bit of a hermit in 2017 when it came to live performances. The legendary artist spent most of his time behind closed doors creating original productions for his friends and clients alike. In 2017 we saw a different side of Skrillex. An artist who focused on producing what he wanted to explore instead of indulging his ever demanding fans around every corner. News of a new album in the first half of 2018 has also piqued the interested of devoted fans all over the world. Skrillex has stayed consistently in the news throughout the year, and last night he gave fans something they were dying for – a true live set to help end out the year.
In Kyoto, Japan last night, Brownies and Lemonade held an OWSLA showcase to honor the label's pop up store which was featured in the city over the last few days. On the bill? None other than the label boss himself. Brownies and Lemonade asked for a laughably low number of RTs in order to live stream the set and naturally fans delivered fast. One fan took things a step further and screen recorded the entire Instagram live stream! Check it out below, honestly we cannot say if this will remain up for long or not. But get on it and see how Skrillex has developed his live sets to shape his new production style from the past year.
