Well I'm sitting here in New York City and it's not ever 10 degrees outside, but I'm already getting excited about the summer with the rush of festival announcements over the past few days. From Coachella, Ultra, Electric Forest, to now Governors Ball, everyone is getting the 2018 lineups out and ready to roll.
Governors Ball is basically the Coachella of the Northeast. It is a multi-genre festival that doesn't cater to any specific fan base. It is a haven for all NYC hipsters and fashionistas to show up and strut their stuff. It takes place June 1st-3rd at Randalls Island, a beautiful park in NYC that makes you feel that you aren't even in NYC anymore.

Now on to the lineup. I'm going to get to the point, if you plan on going to see some great big name EDM artists, it's not happening this year. From my count, there are less than 10 electronic artists on the entire lineup.
Silk City will play its 1st show that weekend which will be a huge treat. (Silk City is Mark Ronson & Diplos highly anticipated Disco project Diplo has been teasing for a while. This will be their 1st show) The only other truly big name EDM artist in the lineup is Galantis.
Check out the entire lineup below highlighted by Eminem, Jack White, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Travis Scott, N.E.R.D, Post Malone and more.
