Many Martin Garrix fans had collective heart attacks a few minutes ago. The producer's most heavily desired release, a collaboration with Ed Sheeran called ‘Rewind, Repeat It' will very likely never see the light of day. It is a shame too, as it sounds absolutely sublime.
Fans have been calling for the release since Martin first played out the track live. Unfortunately for whatever reason Ed Sheeran‘s management have demanded the track not be released. This evening though dozens of Martin Garrix fan collectives on Twitter teamed up to drop a ridiculous troll that gave dozens of people (including myself) a mini heart attack. The twitter accounts changed their pictures to mimic Martin's actual profile pic and started tweeted out fake dates, cover art and announcements. Needless to say it was all a prank and ‘Rewind, Repeat It' is still very much dead.
Excited to announce that I'll finally be putting out 'Rewind Repeat It', the track I did with my super talented brother @edsheeran! Releasing next Friday 12th Jan. I love this feeling! pic.twitter.com/URAylLp1GK
