Earlier today (January 24), Movement Music Festival announced the official 2018 lineup. The lineup was shared more than 1,600 times as many of Movement's fans are questioning what went into their thoughts for this year's lineup.
This year's lineup features Claude Vonstroke, Loco Dice b2b The Martinez Borthers, Wu-Tang, Eats Everything, Golf Clap, Justin Martin, Maceo Plex, and Diplo. You read that right, Diplo is set to perform at this year's Detroit Movement Music Festival and the fans aren't taking this year's lineup favorably. One fan wrote that “Claude VonStroke is the Bassnectar of house music,” while another one questioned “where are Carl Cox, Coyu, Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, Umek, Hot Since 82 and the rest of the great DJ’s???”
Brett wrote “Brett Pablo Kuhn Wow this… is slightly embarrassing. Selling out to bring some shitty edm acts. Way to piss off your paying customers. Diplo is a slap in the face to any techno enthusiast. Drop his ass phase 2 and use that money to bring some actual techno/tech-house artists please. You’ll be doing yourselves a great disservice if not.”
Needless to say, not everyone is happy about this year's lineup (featured below). One fan happened to reach out to Diplo though to tell him not to show up this year, and Diplo wrote the most savage response back.
