According to multiple sources that attended Ultra Music Festival last night, a Miami police helicopter responded to an anonymous tip last night in Miami, Florida. As police have stated multiple times this year, security is on high alert following the 2017 Las Vegas shooting that happened at the Route 91 Harvest music festival.
Apparently, the City of Miami received an anonymous tip that there were lasers coming out of a hotel room. Jamie Guirola of NBC 6 said the chopper shined a spotlight on a building, while the Miami Police Department cleared the scene.

In anticipation of Ultra Music Festival, Police Chief Jorge Colina said “We have a lot of police officers that are working. We have plain-clothed officers. We have marine patrol in the water, officers on the ground, aviation units.”
