Laidback Luke and Steve Aoki have been pushing their new collaboration on social media with a brilliant campaign that shows the two iconic producers battle it in a UFC octagon. So the questions on everybody's minds are, “Does it live up to the hype?” and “How Does It Compare To ‘Turbulence'?”. In short, yes it really does and pretty damn well.
The guys brought on Bruce Buffer whose voice will be instantly recognizable if you are familiar with boxing or UFC. The track is centered in big room, and also invites trap and electro elements into the mix. While I am not the biggest fan of big room style productions, the unique chord progression featured in the track really does win me over. The song is different from the common mainstage bangers of today in the best way possible.
While ‘It's Time' relies on many common elements, the puzzle pieces of this song were arranged in a way that creates a whole new picture. The pounding bass line on the drop and bouncy feel help this tune be infectious and cathcy. Check it out below.
