What I love about electronic music does not come from the big beat bangers of the EDM main stage, but from the limitless possibilities that can be created through modern music production. Genres, sounds and styles that simply didn’t mix in decades past can now be blended into instrumentation unlike any song ever sung.
And though a little more prominent on the indie side of electronic music, some of the genre’s best have set themselves apart through their unique production. From Flume to Jamie xx, these are the artists that draw me to electronic music and its infinitely beautiful amount of possibility.
Nonetheless, I digress from my mouthful of a lead, because with all that being said, this is why it brings me great pleasure to premiere the track before you today. From Pete International Airport (of the Dandy Warhols), his shoegazey electronic remix of “Believable” by Heaven takes the psychedelic rock track in entirely different direction.
A rock song no longer, the “Believable” remix finds itself in a lofi paradise that could easily be mistaken for an original of its own. Watch the EDM Sauce premiere of the official music video below and catch Heaven and Pete International Airport on tour this spring!
