It seems like quite awhile ago since Avicii passed away, grief has a way of distorting time. In actuality, Avicii only left us a bit over a week ago. During the last week man artists, friends and of course, the artist's family have released statements. Now though as the passage of time carries on with the grieving process, feelings are becoming rawer. Avicii‘s girlfriend, Tereza Kačerová, released an initial statement the day Avicii died but has now taken to Instagram to share her grief over the last week.
Avicii's Girlfriend Releases Heartbreaking Statement
In the statement Avicii's girlfriend starts with the sentiment, “I've Spent the last days waiting to wake up, waiting for someone to tell me this is a sick joke…” she then goes on to share intimate stories about the couple's relationship. The good times, the difficult times, and all of the reasons why she truly loved Tim.
Her notes give us a deep look into Avicii's personal life. While many knew the artists for his many chart-topping singles over the last decade, Tim was a gentle soul. He loved those in his life fiercely and went far out of his way to make others happy.
Avicii's Girlfriend On Shock Becoming Reality
The most poignant moments in her notes comes from her seeing the small changes in life with Avicii's absence. She points out the changing of tense in his Wikipedia entry, to seeing all of the social media posts about his passing have been particularly hard.
