Hardwell has never been one to take some time off to rest. It seems that each month the now legendary artist releases at least 3 new tracks. In his latest production, a collaboration with Metropole Orkest, Hardwell has taken an interesting approach. He has broken down what could be considered into two separate songs into an episodic EP of sorts. So does this single live up to the hype or is it purely a release with an unexpected gimmick?
Hardwell & Metropole Orkest – ‘Conquerors Pt. 1&2'
‘Conquerors' is cinematic and orchestral in nature. Pt. 1 of the tune is mainly a slow, driving build up of tension. An introduction and focusing point of what is to come. It is entirely understandable why this tune was broken into two parts. Pt. 1 is a build, while Pt. 2 is where the action takes place. For mixing purposes, the track's first part is really unnecessary and dividing it up gives artists the opportunities to better feature it in their sets.
Pt. 2 of the track is just absolutely amazing. Hardwell has channeled the euphoric, big room sound of early 2010's progressive house. The track is upbeat, energetic, and catchy as can be. While I have always had mixed feelings about Hardwell's music as a whole, this new single proves that he is still one of the best in the game. Check it out below.
