Damon Albarn and his virtual band Gorillaz surprised fans with “Sorcererz,” the third single ahead of their forthcoming album, The Now Now, out 6/29. Gorillaz have already released two additional singles, “Humility,” and “Lake Zurich,” as well.
“Everybody mining their own inner vision”
In a slew of Instagram posts this morning, Gorillaz revealed the news about their third single. Posts reading “Everybody mining their own inner vision” grabbed eyes quickly, with captions reading “new album track.” We couldn't click fast enough.
Damon Albarn's airy vocals pair beautifully with buoyant synths and percussive twangs throughout “Sorcererz.” The track follows the first two singles in perfectly funky, groovy suit, leading us to believe that The Now Now will return to some signature Gorillaz sound.
Needless to say, we're more than excited to hear the rest of The Now Now. Check out “Sorcererz” below, and be ready tomorrow morning, as Gorillaz tickets for their fall 2018 tour go on sale to the general public.
