I was lucky enough to come across this new single by an up-and-coming artist out of the Twin Cities. Her name is JØUR. The multi-talented artist is carving a whole new sound out of the typical indie rock/pop we’re used to. It has a sharp electronic- one might even say industrial, edge as well as the angst of heavy alternative-grunge rock. But “Black Hole” preserves a highly accessible indie-pop feel that I can see all types of listeners appreciating. JØUR is showing us a darker side of the genre with massive distorted sounds and charged vocals that you just don’t usually get alongside tasteful indie songwriting. Stream the new single below and discover a new artist to get into.
