Cashmere Cat exists like a mystical force in the world of dance music. The producer who has championed the sounds of Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber has made a lasting imprint on electronic music with his bold arrangements, daring mixing of genres, and jaw-dropping creativity. It has been quite some time since we heard much from Cashmere Cat though, after the release of his last album, “9”, which was one of the finest to be released last year, he has stayed widely quiet.
Today on Twitter though Cashmere Cat took the chance to stir up some hype in his fan base with a video of him playing out some new music during a live set. Fans were quick to identify some of the samples he used as pieces of XXXTentacion's “MOONLIGHT”. Whether this is a remix, a track with similarities or a tribute of sorts remains to be seen. One thing we know for sure right now though is that WE NEED IT. Hopefully, this ID and many more from Cashmere Cat see the light of day soon.
