The opening song on ‘In the Shape of a Dream' sets this new record off right. “Ocean Front apt.” was likely chosen to lead the Michigan native ayokay's debut album due to its' smooth introduction. Reverby minimal guitar is sampled over light synth and pads for a deep tone that settles you in for more. As the album progresses ayokay steadily builds the energy, bringing more indie dance influence alongside his pop songwriting talents.
