Reaper Burst Onto The Scene Dropping Fire

I stumbled upon a dnb remix of Pendulum’s Granite by a newcomer Reaper. I absolutely love that people can seemingly come from thin air and produce such quality music. Artists such as 1788-L, SWARM, i_o, all have burst on the scene dropping straight fire; You can add Reaper to that list. With under 1k followers and 3 tracks listed on his Soundcloud, the oldest being just over two weeks old, Reaper has made quite a splash.

Not since I first heard Joe Ford have I been this thoroughly impressed by a drum and bass producer. The combination of Neuro/Glitch/Half Time/Dub is right in my wheelhouse when it comes to DnB. The three remixes listed by Reaper are of Pendulum, Snails, and Bassnectar. It takes more than guts to come onto the scene remixing artists that have such cult followings. Not only do all three remixes do justice to the originals, Reaper crushed them. Hearing what the Reaper has done with these songs has me salivating for an original track. You can be sure I will keep an ear on what this guy is up to. This is next level talent and I get the impression he is going to be an all too familiar name so I recommend you don’t fear the Reaper.
