Rising US star Kastra moves into Fall with his latest single, the Zach Matari and Dramos collaboration ‘Fool Me Twice’, out now on Dutch imprint TurnItUp Muzik.
The track sees Matari’s smooth vocal floating across Kastra and Dramos’ slick production, deep bass notes underpinning dynamic runs of synth brass and percussion that flow effortlessly in and out of more mellow sections, giving the cut depth and pace. Originally moving in a deep house direction, it wasn’t until Kastra blended a separate instrumental with the initial production that the track took on its final form, a rousing club banger that absolutely pops with energy.
In just a few short years New Jersey native Kastra has made quite the name for himself, counting some of the scene’s biggest hitters as supporters including Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Tiesto, Showtek, TJR, Knife Party and the late Avicii. His productions have appeared on labels like Hussle/Ministry of Sound, Enhanced Music, Ultra Records, Vicious Recordings, Club Cartel, Onelove and Panda Funk, clocking up over 10 millions plays across SoundCloud, YouTube and Spotify in the process.
Also hailing from New Jersey, vocalist Zach Matari has worked with artists including Ellie Goulding, Fetty Wap, Ziggy Marley, Fifth Harmony, Mario, R5, Sabrina Carpenter and Jacob Whiteside. Breaking into the iTunes RnB top 5 with his 2016 debut EP ‘Day One’, Matari’s follow up singles ‘Up To You’ and ‘LOVE’ won Best RnB and Best Love Song at The John Lennon Song Writing Contest, while his most recent single ‘Mirror’ was written at the request of BitesizedFitness for their ‘Positive Body Image Fashion Show’, racking up over 15 million views on YouTube alone and catching the attention of major mainstream outlets like HuffPo, Yahoo, AOL, MTV, Self, Cosmo, Women’s Health and more.
Dramos will be a name familiar to millions across the States. Resident on the nationally syndicated iHeart Radio show ‘Most Requested Live with Romeo’ which hits over 160 radio stations across the country, he also boasts a residency on New York’s influential Z100 with the world famous 5 o’clock whistle every Friday.
