The popular list website, Ranker is known for its intriguing lists which anyone can vote on at any time. It is an interesting way to create ranked lists in a crowdsourced fashion. While the website commonly pulls inspiration from popular subreddits and other content aggregators, Ranker has gotten excellent at refining content in a reader-friendly way.
As 2018 begins to come to a close, many sites are starting to rank the best releases of the year, Ranker included. Unfortunately, their “Best Dubstep Songs of 2018” has a few glaring issues. Overall the list did have some pretty awesome dubstep tracks featured on it but it was a bit hard to ignore the amount of trap, progressive house (???), and downtempo are featured on the list.
Am I being overly critical? I mean I guess a little bit, but in the same light, this shows how crowdsourcing opinion can get an little hairy. You can find Ranker's list of best dubstep songs here (as well as the current Top 10 below) – and add your own to the list, to either make it more comical or a little more accurate – that decision is yours.
