Floridians know of creepy urban legends such as the legend of the Bloody Bucket Bridge or The Devils Tree of Oak Hammock Park. What the Sunshine State might not know is the scariest thing in Florida is Jacksonville’s SWARM. SWARM, yet again, brings his dark ways to the forefront of electronic music with his latest release Take Me To Hell.
Take Me To Hell begins with a haunting melody on the piano which sets the ominous tone. The lyrics wash over you as they repeat “take me…down…deeper…down. Upon what you would consider the drop, all hell breaks loose, pun intended. Grinding bass lines and draped over thumping industrial percussion drag you down through all nine rings of Dante’s Inferno. At the break the lyrics from the intro return but filtered to have more of a Daft Punk meets Diablo thing going on. This track has SWARM’s signature grime that fans come to expect. Take Me To Hell is another terrifying yet beautiful combination of industrial midtempo with a dash of fear and melody.
