The Chainsmokers and Kelsea Ballerini are set to perform their hit song ‘This Feeling', during tonight's Monday Night Football Halftime Show, as the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs take on the 9-1 Los Angeles Rams in what is being called a potential “Super Bowl Preview”.
With their massive worldwide fan base, The Chainsmokers were rumored to be contenders to play the Halftime Show in the 2019 Super Bowl. Many are referring to tonight’s Monday Night Football Matchup as a “Super Bowl Preview” due to the caliber of the teams playing. The LA Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs are arguably the two hottest teams in the NFL this season, and both are led by Quarterbacks under 25 years old. Chiefs QB, Patrick Mahomes, has thrown for 3150 yards and 31 Touchdowns, while Rams QB Jared Goff has thrown for 3134 yards and 22 Touchdowns.
The Monday night showdown was originally supposed to take place in Mexico City at Azteca Stadium as part of the NFL’s International Series, however due to poor field conditions the game was recently moved to the Ram's home stadium, The L.A. Memorial Coliseum. The game and halftime performance will provide some much needed entertainment for the recently tragedy plagued state of California. To show appreciation to those who have helped during the mass shooting and forest fires, the Rams have allocated thousands of tickets to First Responders.
We'll have to wait for tonight to see who will win, however being LA residents, its safe to assume who Alex and Drew are rooting for. The game will broadcast live tonight on ESPN. Kickoff is at 5:15 PST/8:15 EST.
