After releasing a handful amount of songs on EDM Sauce Copyright Free Records, Rayllex is back with his newest single featuring the vocals of Vrinda on “Stories.” Here's what Rayllex had to say about his new Dance/Pop track.
How did you come up with the idea of Stories?
Well, I was surfing on Youtube in search of new music and I came across Flume and Illenium. I already had listened to few remixes of Illenium, but I had never really listened to much of Flume before. Then I started writing a new track inspired by Flume and Illenium. I finished the instrumental within the week and was really happy with it. Then I sent the unreleased song to my vocalist friend “Vrinda” and asked her to write some emotional and catchy lyrics. From there, she was able to come up with some catchy lyrics in about 2 days. We completed the song in the studio and although it took almost a year to complete, I'm very grateful with the amazing final work.
How would you define this genre?
I'm a big room house producer at heart, but I always have wanted to try and produce something new. I already had produced “ISHQ” which had some trap inspiration and emotional ties. With those some emotions, I came up with a pop music sounding track with some extraordinary chords and vocal chops on the drop. I would say this track is in between pop, chill, and future bass. I'll call it Pop Future Bass.
