While Ultra Music Festivals all across the globe had stellar editions all year long, they were missing one notable headliner, the world's #1 DJ – Martin Garrix. Why Garrix didn't play any Ultra events in 2018 is up for debate. Many believe it came from frustration around his 2017 Miami set which was pushed back and not properly recorded. We have to add that this is mostly conjecture but still pans out as the most believable reasoning.
It seems that any bad blood which existed between Ultra Music Festival and Garrix has been resolved, as the wunderkind is billed to play the inaugural Australian edition of Ultra in 2019. Could this possibly mean that Garrix will be returning to Ultra Miami in 2019 – it certainly looks promising.
Alongside Garrix, Ultra Australia will feature headliners including Adam Beyer, The Chainsmokers and Marshmello. The festival will take place over two days in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Stay tuned for new information on the festival which will take place on February 23rd and 24th, 2019.
Seems like Martin Garrix & Ultra have settled the issues between them. He will be headlining next year's Ultra Australia. from r/EDM
