Where “Skin Deep” pitched itself as a sultry slow number, ‘Simply No Better’ is a more uptempo, jazzy affair which flitters between neo-soul leanings and Jamiroquai-esque infectiousness. Vocals are provided by James Chatburn, whose tones are a perfect complement to the production provided by ZENDR.
