Trivecta has had a big year but I believe we have yet to scratched the surface of what this insanely talented producer can do. The man is nothing short of a melodic dubstep genius. When he is not putting out jaw-dropping originals or collaborating with EDM legends, Sam Dobkin is straight up fearless with his remixes. Trivecta’s latest work of art is his rendition of Myon & Late Night Alumni’s Hearts & Silence.
Trivecta starts off this remix with hammering drums in an upbeat psytrance fashion, complete with synths that seem to suck in and out of the song. After the break the song picks up in the chorus of the original followed by a hair-raising build. The drop hits with the most wonderful blend of feelings and power. Taking Myons magic strings and turning it into dubstep is exactly what I needed in my life. In a time where dark powersludge midtempo is pushing speakers to the limit, Trivecta brings fresh legs to a genre that was supposed to be dead. The magnitude of the drop induce involuntary headbanging as perfectly timed stuttering synths skip in front of a massive landscape of sound. This track gets remix of the year in my humble opinion. The sheer force Trivecta brings to such a beautiful song is remarkable. I truly hope the world sees how talented this producer is and I expect him to blow up to become a household name in 2019.
